ABOUT TLCVISION®
Our complimentary subsidiaries provide wide-ranging advantages to our network of doctors.
Subsidiary Brands
REFRACTIVE:The world's most widely performed elective procedure.
The Refractive segment comprises laser centers and the fixed and mobile access business. It provides corrective laser surgery
primarily relating to refractive disorders such as myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism. Historically, TLCVision has performed
more than 1.5 million procedures.
Early in 1994, the first TLC Eye Centers® facility, a
division of TLCVision, opened in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Now, over 70 centers later, TLC Laser Eye Centers is North
America's largest provider of laser vision correction services with more than 770,000 procedures performed. TLCVision was founded on
the philosophy of working with some of the most experienced eye doctors and maintains a strong commitment to the co-management
model with affiliate optometrists. The TLC Laser Eye Centers brand services the premium market segment, which is a slightly
older, higher income consumer who is highly influenced by their doctor's recommendation and deliberate about making the decision
to have surgery.
The
TruVisionTM subsidiary is a leading managed care contractor for elective health care
services. TruVisionTM serves as a patient acquisition channel for the refractive centers.
Through the LaserVision® subsidiary,
independent surgeons gain laser access and technical support with the most complete refractive laser service program in the
industry.
CATARACT: The world's most widely performed non-elective procedure.
The Sightpath Medical
subsidiary provides surgical equipment and services for cataracts, glaucoma, and refractive procedures including Intralase. As the leading U.S. provider of these services, we believe surgeons and facilities choose to outsource cataract surgery, SLT, and LASIK to us based on our custom approach, reliability, state-of-the-art equipment, and affordability.
Sightpath is also the exclusive U.S. distributor of the Foresee PHP, a critically important device for monitoring age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
The OR Partners® subsidiary develops, acquires and
manages ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs), consisting of single- and multi-specialty ASCs in conjunction with physician practices.
OPTOMETRIC SERVICES:
Through Vision Source!SM TLCVision manages a
network of independent optometric practices. The network offers competitive purchasing power, as well as management and marketing
services. More than 2,500 doctors in over 1,180 practices across the United States are part of Vision Source!SM.
